I Dream Of Wires

Monday, November 28th, 2011

More synth geeking out but this looks like a good cause. The more interesting documents of music exploration the better. Lot’s of esoteric gear on display. Check out the trailer and buy a dvd to kickstart the conclusion of production.

77 Million Paintings

Saturday, November 26th, 2011

This came out a while ago but I came across it again recently. Looks amazing and typically brilliant concept from Eno. Here’s an article from apple, some photos and video. Looks a little hard to find the original DVD release but something to track down.

as an interesting aside, one of his earlier video paintings from the early ’80s:

Return of a classic from another one of the synth gods. I like the simplicity and elegance of this timeless design. Direct from the man himself.

New vid for “Illusions”

Monday, November 7th, 2011

This is a belated Halloween post. I’ve got a spooky new video for my track “Illusions” from the last LP (The Alpha Future) for you. Francis Ouellette of the always cool underground label Hobo Cult Records, who also makes surreal video montages culled from the detritus of UHF/VHF weirdness under the moniker Moduli TV directed the video. His signature style fits nicely. Enjoy!

Lupine Looping

Monday, November 7th, 2011

Oh yeah, I’m doing a “periodical” album of odds and ends (Ghosts of Bush). It’s been a while since the last addition but finally I’ve got something new, or rather, new to you but actually dating back to 2006 or 2007 during the sessions for the weird little EP Music Computer Film that I did. This piece contains elements that eventually became one of my favorite things that I’ve ever done, the track “Fox P2“. This early version is like a cat that you see at the animal shelter that’s dirty, rough looking and frayed around the edges but if you take it home, clean it up and give it some love, could become something you’ll like having around for awhile. It’s working title for better or worse is “Lupine Looping” and below it you’ll find the ancient relic of a video for “Fox P2”.
