Audion is on with Hecatomb
Thursday, November 19th, 2009I have been into Matthew Dear’s work for a while now and amongst his different aliases I tend to like the more song oriented solo stuff for Ghostly International but his Audion stuff is really enjoyable too. His latest tour “Hecatomb” looks and sounds really innovative. It’s work like this that keeps me interested in Techno and Electronic music. I am always inspired by things that push the envelope forward and challenge our conceptions of what music should be. It looks like I won’t be able to catch this show live but the videos and stills alone are incredible!

Norwegian bus ride playlist
Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009I’m still sorting through pictures and thoughts from my little Norwegian tour. Here’s the playlist from my ipod on shuffle on the bus ride from Stavanger to Bergen. It’s a really amazing trip and I skipped any songs that didn’t feel right. I often feel like my ipod is sensitive to it’s environment and situation and it’s strange how fitting it’s selections on shuffle can be. So, if you download these songs and imagine lots of rocks, fjords, clouds, rain, yellow birch leaves and green conifers you will almost be there!
